Streamflows from the Bernam River Basin play an important role in the supply of irrigation water to paddy fields. However, the high demand for water during the wet season, and the low streamflows during the dry season, often lead to conflicts in allocating irrigation water to farmers. Hence, assessing the future outlook of climate change on the Bernam River Basin is critical to ensure sustainable water resources for paddy cultivation.

This paper aims to assess the impact of future climate change on the Bernam River Basin through simulations with the SWAT model. Historical gridded hydro-meteorological data were used to set up the model, and sensitivity analysis was performed to identify the most influential parameters for streamflow modeling. The model was then run under the RCP 4.5, 6.0 and 8.5 emission scenarios to investigate future changes in the seasonal flow patterns of the Bernam River Basin. one bernam
